
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- A forum to promote collaboration and partnerships between Saudi Arabian industry and Lockheed Martin has been conducted in Riyadh.
The forum, which was last Sunday and Monday, featured speakers such as Lockheed Martin President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Kubasik and U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia James B. Smith.
Those attending included not only Saudi industry representatives but also officials from the government and academic institutions.
"Lockheed Martin is proud to be a trusted partner for the kingdom of Saudi Arabia," said Alan M. Chinoda, Lockheed Martin Saudi Arabia chief executive. "We are expanding our presence in the kingdom and broadening our engagement with Saudi industry is an important part of this effort.
"We hope the process begun over the last two days will lead to new business opportunities that will benefit Saudi Arabia and its people."
Lockheed said that in addition to speakers on Lockheed products and capability, sessions were conducted for the Saudi participants to voice their ideas on collaborative ventures.
