IRVING, Texas, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Base operations support services at four U.S. Navy installations will be provided by the Fluor Corp. under a firm-fixed-price contract.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award has a maximum yearly value of about $40 million. The total contract lifetime value is $318 million.
"This new contract from the Navy is a strategic win for our services business," said Bruce Stanski, president of Fluor Government Group. "Providing quality, cost-competitive solutions to the Navy is work that Fluor employees take great pride in."
Fluor said the four installations in Florida it will provide services are: Naval Air Station Jacksonville; Naval Station Mayport; Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Jacksonville; and Blount Island Command, also in Jacksonville.
Under the new contract, Fluor will provide port services; supply; personnel support; facilities support; facility management/facility investment; utilities; electrical; water; wastewater; telecommunications; base support vehicles and equipment; and environmental services.
"We are proud that Fluor was chosen to provide these important services which will allow the Navy team to focus on the most important aspects of their missions," Stanski said.
