Northrop had been contracted to provide a CEESIM, an SMS and a Pulseman Portable CEESIM Simulator to Aselsan's Radar, Electronic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Division. The systems are to support various electronic warfare-related programs within Turkey.

"Together, CEESIM and SMS offer a complete end-to-end electronic warfare testing solution by providing Aselsan the ability to generate a highly realistic simulated environment while measuring how well the EW equipment operates within that environment," said Joe Downie, president of Northrop Grumman's Amherst Systems business unit.

"The Northrop Grumman CEESIM system is the most advanced radio frequency simulator on the market today."

CEESIM generates electromagnetic environments for the users to test and evaluate the performance of advanced electronic warfare systems such as radar warning receivers and electronic countermeasure systems.

It is reprogrammable and is can simulate radar and communications signals.
