DULLES, Va., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has selected Raytheon for development of a new investigative case management system to replace its legacy system.

The contract calls for Raytheon to deliver a system that will streamline and improve ICE agents' ability to investigate, manage, report and collaborate on law enforcement and national security efforts.

"To design and implement the modernized investigative case management system, Raytheon brings together ICE's vision, proven technologies and our experience in successfully implementing national security programs," said Ron Stefano, vice president of Mission Operations Solutions for Raytheon's Intelligence and Information Systems business. "We will work closely with ICE technology leaders and agents to deliver a reliable, efficient system that leverages forward-leaning technology capable of evolving to meet future mission needs."

Under the contract, Raytheon will create a Web-enabled system that will bring enhanced investigative case management features to ICE agents through various channels, including mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. The system will offer the features required to support ICE's mission, including core case management, intelligent reporting, subject records and workflow tracking.

The modernized ICE investigative case management system will also be designed to interface with more than 100 disparate databases from across the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies for improved information sharing, inter-agency collaboration and federated search.

The Raytheon team for the project includes Booz-Allen Hamilton, McLean, Va.; CSC, Falls Church, Va.; Kurrent Logic, Chevy Chase, Md.; Kore Federal, Falls Church, Va.; and Blackstone Technology Group, Arlington, Va.
