It has a ceiling value of $21 million.

"We look forward to continuing our support of AMC and the larger Defense Department ammunition community by providing the tools necessary to achieve comprehensive ammunition asset and in-transit visibility and management services," said Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

AMC is the Army's main provider of materiel readiness -- technology, acquisition support, materiel development, logistics power projection and sustainment -- to the total force across the spectrum of joint military operations.

Under the contract, SAIC will continue to provide operations and maintenance support services as required in support of the National Level Ammunition Capability operations, including implementing new technologies to help enhance activities.

As part of the effort, SAIC will continue to integrate ammunition asset, transportation, and catalog data into a Web-based system that includes numerous decision support tools.
