Argon ST said the award option marks the successful achievement of the FRP milestone decision resulting from extensive factory, test range and operational testing of low-rate initial production systems.

The program transitioned into the production and deployment phase in March 2010 and Argon has built, delivered and tested LRIP systems over the past year.

"With the award of the SSEE Increment F FRP option, the program has achieved its next critical milestone," said Joe Carlin, vice president of Information Dominance for Argon ST.

"The U.S. Navy surface fleet currently has two Increment F systems installed and they are demonstrating their operational utility and value in several test range and real world scenarios."
