The MU90 is the result of a partnership between the French and Italian governments and companies. Germany was the first export customer to adopt the MU90, followed by Denmark, Poland and Australia.

The SIMOPE tool is in service with the French and German navies and will enable them to share knowledge and information about the MU90 in a more comprehensive and coherent manner, the company said.

DCNS said this first SIMOPE export contract consolidates DCNS's role in the provision of anti-submarine warfare simulation solutions and associated expertise for navies around the world.

The simulator allows close analysis of the MU90's behavior in a wide range of tactical scenarios, enhancing the way operators of the torpedo are prepared and trained.
