Sikorsky launches new system for Army

ORLANDO, Fla., March 7 (UPI) -- Sikorsky Aerospace Services Launches has launched a new maintenance management systems software system to support a U.S. Army helicopter program.

The LUH HELOTRAC 2X is a Web-based system that records, manages and reports essential aircraft information, presenting data in an easily accessible and highly visible dashboard.

Sikorsky said it integrates with the Army Readiness Database and offers daily aircraft status reports on UH-72A Lakota light utility helicopters.

"The HELOTRAC 2X system is a sophisticated yet low-cost maintenance tool that helps reduce our customers' operating costs," said Peter Cutler, SAS director of Analytics and Technology. "The new program provides many new and advanced capabilities that help alleviate the maintenance burden on the warfighter."

The system incorporates a Fleet Management, Safety and Operating and Support Management Information System module specifically designed to meet Army requirements. No downloads or software installations are required and the system is flexible and scalable to support anywhere from two to 2,000 aircraft, Sikorsky said.

The HELOTRAC 2X system also is capable of integrating to aircraft equipped with Health Usage Monitoring Systems, providing real-time aircraft status.

SAS, the after-market subsidiary of Sikorsky Aircraft, provides contractor Logistics Support for the LUH program.
