AUBURN, Calif., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- TGH Aviation of California has been contracted by the U.S. Defense Department to repair equipment on U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force aircraft.

Three contracts were awarded and include the repair of fuel quantity indicators on CH-47 helicopters for the Army, the repair of altitude computers on the Northrop Grumman T-38s and F-5s for the Air Force and the repair of temperature indicators for the U.S. Navy.

The awards have a combined value of $1.5 million.

"Securing contracts of this scope further establishes TGH as a key service provider within the U.S. region," said Steve Williams, TGH's vice president of Sales and Marketing. "It also reinforces the company's strategic focus of increasing its commercial market share, because we can surpass even the most stringent Department of Defense guidelines. We use that same expertise and level of service on every component we support."

TGH said that in addition to servicing military aircraft, it provides a broad spectrum of support for general, corporate, rotorcraft and commercial aircraft.

Additional details about the three contracts awarded by the Department of Defense weren't disclosed.
