ATS enters mentor agreement

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Virginia's Projility Inc. will receive help from ATS Corp. in strengthening its technical offerings and management capabilities.

The arrangement between ATS, an information technology company, and Projility comes under a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Mentor-Protege program to help government-designated, small disadvantaged businesses.

"With ATSC's long track record of successfully delivering border and port security solutions to the Department of Homeland Security, we are very pleased to establish this Mentor-Protege agreement with Projility, Inc., a small business with deep domain expertise in support of mission critical systems at (Homeland Security)," ATSC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Edward H. Bersoff said. "ATSC is committed to the mentorship of Projility out of our belief that growth of small businesses not only benefits our industry but also contributes to strengthening our nation's economy."

The Homeland Security Mentor-Protege Program is designed to encourage large business prime contractors to provide developmental assistance to small businesses to strengthen technical offerings and management capabilities that support successful delivery of mission critical solutions to federal government customers.

Under the three-year agreement, ATSC will provide Projility with corporate resources and technical and management assistance.
