Raytheon system gets security approval

HERNDON, Va., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Raytheon's SecureOffice Trusted Gateway System supporting multidirectional transfer of data has received Top Secret/SCI and Below Interoperability approval.

The company said the Distributed Common Ground System-Army worked with Raytheon to bring its system through the TSABI certification and accreditation process, which will allow the military to take advantage of the newest innovations in transfer solutions at all security levels.

DCGS-A is the premier platform program for enterprise enablement of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information technology assets. It is the Army's ground portion of a joint intelligence, network-centric enterprise that unifies collection, processing, analysis, extraction, query and visualization of ISR capabilities for the tactical environment.

"Providing our warfighters with a unified operational picture is essential in evaluating events in real time so they can execute their missions effectively," said Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer, Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions. "For nearly two decades, we've been working with our military customer to provide cross domain solutions that enable users to access and distribute mission-critical information.

"The DCGS-A's implementation of TGS, which provides valuable tactical information to the warfighter, was a key element in obtaining TSABI certification."
