EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has given Wyle's CAS Group another contract to support the service's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Office.
The five-year task order, worth $66.9 million, is a follow-on contract to Wyle's Express Task Order from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command.
Support to the program office by the CAS Group, which has headquarters in Alabama, includes systems engineering and integration support, airspace management activities, information assurance, earned value management services, configuration support, C4I activities, modeling and simulation support, international cooperation activities/homeland security/counter unmanned aircraft support and business management.
Wyle said the contract will support all Army UAS programs, including Gray Eagle UAS, Hunter UAS, Improved Gnat UAS, Shadow UAS, Raven UAS, Unmanned Systems Airspace Integration Concepts, Family/Common Systems Integration, Gasoline Micro Air Vehicle, and emerging UAS programs.
Wyle's CAS Group has supported the Army's UAS Project Office since 2005.
The group's subcontractors on this contract include Belzon, Camber, CSC, Dynetics, EnRgies, Navigator, Westar, Quantitech, S3, SAIC, WBB Consulting, Aerodyne, Logzone, Inc., SDI, Sigmatech and Trident World Systems.
