Harris Corp. receives $64 million contract

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. company Harris Corp. has been awarded a contract to upgrade the U.S. Air Force Satellite Control Network Program.

The contract is Harris's third option year of its involvement in the U.S. Air Force's Network and Space Operations and Maintenance program, Harris reported Thursday in a release.

Harris IT Services President John Heller said, "The award of this option demonstrates our continued success delivering superior support to the 50th Space Wing for this critical network.

"Harris is proud to be a trusted partner for the U.S. Air Force on this mission. The award of this option demonstrates our continued success delivering superior support to the 50th Space Wing for this critical network."

Under terms of the new contract Harris will continue to provide operations and maintenance support to the 50th Space Wing's Air Force Satellite Control Network worldwide.
