MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army selected Booz Allen Hamilton for rapid response, third-generation program work.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award is for five years and was given by the Army's Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command. With a total program funding ceiling value of $16.4 billion over five years, Booz Allen is one of 18 prime contractors selected to provide support.
Under the contract, Booz Allen's team will provide a broad range of services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agencies requiring a rapid response to fulfill mission challenges.
Contract services, which will support a range of equipment and anti-terrorism technology, include technology insertion, system integration and installation, fabrication and prototyping; testing and certification; studies and analyses; logistics support, training and engineering support, including re-engineering and reverse engineering, the company said.
These services support new and existing platforms, systems and subsystems across the Defense Department and other federal agencies. This contract is the third-generation contract providing support to the Rapid Response Program Office.
The Booz Allen team includes more than 40 companies.
"The Department of Defense and federal agencies will have full access to the expertise of our entire Booz Allen team when they need help quickly to accomplish their missions," said Booz Allen Vice President Angie Messer. "Our team structure, management processes, rapid response capabilities, and ability to manage large teams -- combined with our technical expertise -- are available to government agencies."
