Teen solves centuries-old math problem
OAKLAND, N.J., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Department has awarded Dewey Electronics Corp. a $2 million contract to supply portable generators.
Since 1996 Dewey Electronics Corp. has supplied the Department of Defense with more than 15,000 2-kilowatt, diesel-operated Military Tactical Generators, which are deployed worldwide, the company reported Wednesday.
The Department of Defense contract is for Dewey to deliver both alternating- and direct-current versions of the 2-kilowatt diesel Military Tactical Generators, with shipments to begin in January and continue over six months.
Dewey Electronics Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer John Dewey said: "Everyone here at Dewey Electronics is proud of this simple, reliable and portable generator. The same goes for our performance under the contract and we are gratified by the continued issue of delivery orders from (the Pentagon) and Program Manager Mobile Electric Power. Dewey continues to support the portable power needs of the warfighter in all branches of the (Defense Department) and looks forward to the manufacture and delivery of these units."
