CLEVELAND, July 27 (UPI) -- Bird Technologies Group has acquired X-COM Systems, which develops advanced radio frequency products for the military and government agencies.
"X-COM is well known not only for our advanced digital waveform generation technology, but for our strong relationships with government and military decision makers," David Erisman, chief executive officer and founder of X-COM said in a news release. "Joining forces with a company as deep and strong as BTG will allow us to penetrate new markets with our breakthrough RF measurement and analysis tools far more aggressively than if we were to continue as a separate company.
"As X-COM is the leading provider of wide bandwidth RF capture, analysis and playback systems, the alliance will accelerate X-COM's ability to develop new products and enhance the value proposition we can provide to our military and aerospace customers."
Bird Technologies Group, which has headquarters in Ohio, markets products under the Bird Electronic and TX RX Systems brand names. It produces a wide variety of radio frequency signal measurement equipment, ranging from spectrum analysis, power measurement, instruments and custom systems.
