CHANTILLY, Va., July 2 (UPI) -- Agilex Technologies Inc. has been named the "hottest" emerging government contractor in the Washington area by the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
"Agilex is a company of outstanding professionals, brought together by the opportunity to build a truly great company in service to the nation's priorities," Agilex CEO Jay Nussbaum said Thursday. "This award is tremendous recognition of their dedication and incredible talent.
"What's most exciting about this award is that it specifically honors companies 'that develop innovative technology-based solutions to help the government in its quest for change."
Agilex is an employee-owned enterprise allocation, solution and advisory company started in 2007 and headquartered in Chantilly, Va.
Its clients include the departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.
Twenty firms were nominated for the NVTC's Hottest Emerging Government Contractor award. Half of their revenues had to come from government contracts and total annual revenue couldn't be more than $50 million.
