AGT, Microsoft partner on security market

ASPEN, Colo., June 30 (UPI) -- Security solutions company AGT International is joining with Microsoft to promote integrated security solutions for the homeland security market.

The announcement of the relationship was made Tuesday at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado.

"Microsoft looks forward to deploying world-class security and national security software solutions with AGT," Wes Anderson, vice president of Microsoft public Sector Services, said. "AGT is a proven, vetted player in the global security industry and deeply understands market needs."

The companies will provide government and corporate customers security solutions that combine AGT's software integration capabilities in intelligence, analytics and systems with Microsoft technology, security framework and services.

The companies said they will jointly provide consulting services. Among delivery partners will be 3i-MIND, which develops software that collects data from sensors and also Web and traditional databases. It also provides prediction capabilities and systems to support intelligence and law enforcement.

AGT International is a privately owned firm with sales of more than $7 billion.
