
MORGANTOWN, W.Va., May 13 (UPI) -- U.S. software giant Microsoft has partnered with Augusta Systems Inc. to develop a homeland security data integration solution.
West Virginia's Augusta Systems says it will supply its EdgeFrontier middleware technology platform for use in Microsoft's Fusion Core Solution. Company officials say the EdgeFrontier was selected to provide homeland security and other law enforcement authorities with real-time data integration and management.
Microsoft's Fusion Core Solution, equipped with the company's ESRI ArcGIS Advanced Enterprise server and the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, is used by security personnel as a technology that supports effective data collaborate among the law enforcement community.
"EdgeFrontier complements Fusion Core Solution by enhancing the collection, management and dissemination of vital information from diverse sources," David Stampfli, Microsoft technical architect, said in a statement.
