RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., March 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Cyberlux Corp. to deliver its tactical lighting technologies to support aviation operations in Iraq.
U.S. company Cyberlux was awarded the contract to provide the 142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion with 24 of its WhiteEye Tactical Lighting Tower Systems.
Under the deal, Cyberlux will deliver its WhiteEye technologies, designed to provide military units with a rapid setup and light-weight illumination solution for tactical and emergency response operations in Iraq. Officials say the WhiteEye units will be delivered to Forward Operating Base Hammer east of Baghdad.
"We are pleased that the Army has chosen our WhiteEye System to equip our troops in Iraq," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"The commercial grade WhiteEye is the ideal lighting solution for the specific requirements of this military operation and compliments our previously deployed flagship BrightEye series overseas."
