NEW YORK, March 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. military selected L-3 Communications to provide ongoing operations in Iraq with counter-intelligence and intelligence analysis services.
U.S. company L-3 says its Stratis unit was selected for the award as part of a re-competition for the contract work. Under the deal, Stratis will provide the U.S. military and also other multinational forces based in Iraq with intelligence support.
Stratis says the firm-fixed-fee contract includes intelligence analysis and planning along with counterintelligence services among other requirements at forward operation installations in Iraq.
Company officials announced Stratis was also selected to provide the U.S. Special Operations Command with ongoing imagery data analysis services.
"In both instances, we are proud to have the opportunity to provide continuous support to our multinational forces participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom in the vital areas of intelligence analysis, planning and program management," L-3 Stratis President Les Rose said in a statement.
