ARLINGTON, Va., March 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Department has contracted CACI International to support a departmental migration from legacy systems to next-generation infrastructure.

U.S. company CACI received the contract to support implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The contract, worth approximately $31 million, is part of an effort to support the Defense Department Business Transformation Agency's technology integration initiative.

CACI says it will provide the Defense Agency Initiative program with integration, implementation and planning services as part of the migration from a legacy system to the new infrastructure among other requirements.

"CACI is proud to support the Business Transformation Agency in providing innovative enterprise-level solutions to the Department of Defense," CACI U.S. Operations President Bill Fairl said in a statement.

"CACI solutions will help Business Transformation Agency provide defense agencies with accurate and reliable financial tools and resources to best support the missions of the warfighter."
