DANBURY, Conn., March 2 (UPI) -- U.S. company Smiths Detection announced the release of its new biological warfare threats identification solution designed to support emergency responders.
Smiths Detection Monday said its new or biological advanced confirmatory technologies has been launched as a biological threat assessment system for homeland security and emergency response authorities.
Smiths Detection announced BIO-ACT includes the company's Prime Alert screener, BioCheck test kit, HazMatID Ranger hand-held chemical identifier and Bio-Seeq PLUS threat identification technologies to provide accurate and rapid threat assessment.
"We are committed to delivering this advanced tactical assessment approach worldwide because it provides emergency responders with the highest degree of confidence when dealing with unknown, suspect substances," Mal Maginnis, Smiths Detection Global Military and Emergency Responders president, said in a statement.
