LADSON, S.C., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Force Protection Inc. announced the debut of its off-road armored vehicle technology at the Association of the United States Army winter conference.
U.S. company Force Protection is participating at the AUSA Institute of Land Warfare's Winter Symposium taking place in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., through Friday. Wednesday at the conference, Force Protection released its Joint All-Terrain Modular Mobility Asset vehicle.
The next-generation off-road JAMMA is designed as a lighter and more mobile armored vehicle system that officials say is adaptable for various military applications.
"We believe there is an ongoing need for our U.S. troops and allied forces to have access to lighter, highly mobile vehicles," Michael Moody, Force Protection chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"The JAMMA vehicle has been designed from the ground up to be the new standard in light tactical vehicles and its light-weight, high-strength structure provides a wealth of multi-role mission configurations for its end-users. The JAMMA represents a different type of survivability solution focused on speed, mobility and concealment."
