
CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force contracted Emtec Federal to deliver computer technologies configured for the department as part of the Quarterly Enterprise Buy program.
U.S. company Emtec was selected to provide the Air Force with three sizes of Samsung flat-panel computer monitors and also Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Series notebook computers configured with the authorized Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration.
The approximately $5 million deal, awarded through the Air Force Quarterly Enterprise Buy program, is an initiative from the Air Force to ensure information technology interoperability and streamline procurement requirements.
"Emtec Federal has held several blanket purchase agreements with the Air Force for 10-plus years and has been a key reseller in the Quarterly Enterprise Buy Program since its inception in 2005," Jeff Posey, Emtec Federal vice president of sales, said in a statement.
This contract further demonstrates our ability to deliver the products and services that best meet the Air Force's needs."
