LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Universal Detection Technology announced a promotion initiative for its biological threat detection system ahead of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.
UNDT releases plans to jointly promote its portable five-agent bioterrorism detection kits for deployment at the Olympics as part of an agreement with the U.S. Commerce Department Commercial Service unit.
UNDT says the agreement lists the company on the Commerce Department Commercial Service's Web site as a featured U.S. exporter promoting its threat detection technologies ahead of the Olympics in February.
"We've maintained a solid, growing relationship with the U.S. Department of Commerce, and have worked with them to expand our bio-weapons detection equipment offerings in many international markets, including France and South Korea; this listing with the U.S. Commerce Department gives us the opportunity to continue that growth in Canada, site of the 2010 Winter Olympics," said Jacques Tizabi, UNDT chief executive officer.
