SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- General Dynamics announced its Trusted Virtual Environment software has been selected for a list of technology approved for the U.S. Defense Department.
U.S. company General Dynamics says the TVE software application developed by its C4 Systems unit has been selected for the Cross Domain Baseline list. TVE is designed to provide defense and intelligence authorities access to multiple operating systems at various security levels.
The Cross Domain Baseline list, managed by the Unified Cross Domain Management Office, designates General Dynamics' TVE as an approved technology for the Defense Department.
According to a news release the TVE software application also "reduces information technology costs associated with the size, weight and power needs of multiple secure computing systems by using commercial, off-the-shelf technology."
