LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- U.S. defense contractor Raytheon has selected Ducommun to support the Patriot Air and Missile Defense program with its electromechanical technologies.
Ducommun says its Technologies unit was awarded the contract. Under the $2.3 million deal, Ducommun will provide Raytheon with its electromechanical assemblies.
Ducommun, an aerospace and defense critical components and assemblies provider, says its Arizona-based Integrated Electronic Sub-Assembly facility will produce the electromechanical technologies to support Raytheon's Patriot Air and Missile Defense program with the Defense Department.
"This contract once again demonstrates our ability to penetrate different business segments within one of our largest customers, as Raytheon has come to rely on Ducommun Technologies' capabilities to manufacture and integrate very complex sub-assemblies," Anthony Reardon, Ducommun president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
