FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- DynCorp International has been selected to provide the Liberian armed forces with operations and maintenance services designed to support regional security.
Defense contractor DynCorp received the award from the U.S. State Department as part of the African Peacekeeping Program. Under the $5.2 million award, DynCorp will provide Liberia's Edward B. Kesselly Barracks and Camp Ware with maintenance and operations services.
Officials say the contract, worth $20 million if all options are exercised, will include electrical power generation, water supply and vehicle maintenance from DynCorp among other requirements and is part of a larger State Department effort to support regional security.
"We are honored to continue our work supporting the State Department in contributing to peace and stability in Liberia," DynCorp International Chief Executive Officer William Ballhaus said in a statement.
