ROSELAND, N.J., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Expand Networks says its wide area network technologies have been selected by the U.S. Army to support improved mobile connectivity for soldiers in the field.
U.S. company Expand Networks says its Accelerator WAN optimization technology has been integrated with Dtech Labs Mobile, Modular, Man-Carry C4 Gateway and its Halo Tactical Red/Black systems.
The Expand Networks-Dtech Labs partnership has been deployed to provide the Army and the Program Executive Office Command Control Communications Tactical with improved communications capabilities for soldiers.
"Mobile warfighters and federal government employees in remote areas of responsibility are often limited by degraded links for mission-critical communications," Brian Everhart, Dtech Labs vice president of products and services, said in a statement.
"By embedding WAN Optimization technology like Expand's into our modular man-portable tactical communications systems, we significantly improve their command and control capability by maximizing the efficiency of communications in the field."
