VALLEY FORGE, Pa., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. defense contractor Lockheed Martin has released its new smart grid management solution that strengthens situational awareness of critical assets.
Lockheed Martin Monday announced the launch of its new Smart Energy Enterprise Suite. The new grid management solution, referred to as SEEsuite, is part of an effort to address mission critical electricity management requirements for defense and commercial applications.
Lockheed Martin says its SEEsuite is designed to provide increased insight into command and control operations and electrical grid stress management for smart grid assets.
"We are excited to provide utilities and defense customers with improved command and control and situational awareness of their smart grid assets," John Mengucci, Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services-Defense president, said in a statement.
"We are helping our customers not only make the grid smarter, but also more reliable, more resilient, more secure and more flexible to meet the growing needs of our increasingly electricity-based economy."
