SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Department has contracted URS Corp. to provide equipment and aircraft engineering and maintenance among other support services.
U.S. company URS announced it was selected for four contracts that will support the Navy and the Army branches over five years with engineering and maintenance services.
The contracts include South Korea-based Army equipment inspection and maintenance, aircraft maintenance, and support for the Army's Iraq Maintenance and Tire Repair Mission, among other technical and engineering requirements.
The contracts are worth $316 million if all options are exercised.
"We are pleased to have won these contracts, which further expand our relationship with the Defense Department and underscore URS' expertise in providing a full range of engineering and maintenance services to all branches of the U.S. military," Randall Wotring, URS Federal Services president, said in a statement.
