ROSH PINA, Israel, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- On Track Innovations has been selected to continue supporting the Israel Airports Authority's security check process with its smart card technologies.

Israeli company OTI announced it has been awarded a follow-on contract to provide its SmartID secured contactless smart cards solutions and readers to support the Israel Airports Authority UniPass program.

Officials say the contract is designed to support the security check process at Israel's Ben-Gurion Airport. OTI will provide its smart card technologies for the UniPass, which is based in part on OTI's SmartID solution.

"Our SmartID product meets stringent demands of the Israeli security authorities and has proved itself in secured environments applications around the world," Oded Bashan, OTI chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
