NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. company Textron announced it has formed a partnership with Granite Tactical Vehicles Inc. in a move to develop next-generation tactical vehicle solutions.
Textron says its Marine and Land Systems unit and North Carolina-based Granite Tactical Vehicles have established an exclusive teaming relationship.
Textron, developer of the M1117 Guardian Armored Security Vehicle, announced the new teaming partnership in a move to work with Granite Tactical Vehicles on new innovations for military vehicles to address the evolving defense applications.
"We see Granite's innovations in survivable and mobile light armored vehicles to be an excellent match with our engineering and manufacturing expertise, especially in armored vehicles," Mark Savarese, Textron Marine and Land Systems vice president of strategy and business development, said in a statement.
