Kratos awarded training deal by Navy

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc. has been selected to provide the U.S. Navy with information technology and cyber workforce training support.

U.S. company Kratos was selected for three contracts to provide the Navy with training support worth $3.2 million. Under the first contract Kratos will provide the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command with an implementation of an Overseas Contingency Operations Specialized Skills Training solution.

Kratos was also contracted to support the Navy's enlisted IT workforce with a next-generation learning program, and in a third contract the company will provide the Next Generation Enterprise Network program with manpower and training analysis services.

"These critical mission areas represent key components of the Navy's future IT, network and cyber workforces," Mike Bennett, Kratos Learning and Performance Solutions vice president, said in a statement.

"We are honored to be able to play a role in the successful execution of programs that will have such considerable impact on future readiness and performance."
