Teen solves centuries-old math problem

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Security solutions provider Securitas announced it has acquired Spain-based alarm monitoring company Tecniserv in a move to expand the company's market reach.
Swedish company Securitas purchased Tecniserv in a deal worth approximately $10.6 million as part of an effort to strengthen the company's monitoring operational capabilities and expand into the Spanish market.
According to a news release, Tecniserv operates in three areas including "service of own connections portfolio, installation of new alarm systems and monitoring of third party connections."
Officials say Tecniserv was officially consolidated into Securitas AB on Wednesday.
