
TEL-AVIV, Israel, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Security authorities in Israel have selected broadband wireless technologies provider Radwin to support a municipal public safety project.
Radwin announced officials from the Israel seaport city of Ashkelon have selected the company to provide a surveillance cameras security project with its wireless networking technologies.
As part of the so-called Safe City project, Israeli company Radwin will support the homeland security effort with real-time video transmission capabilities designed to alert authorities in case of an emergency or security incident.
"We are proud that our wireless systems were chosen to serve a key role in Ashkelon's public safety project. … We look forward to working with Ashkelon in the future as they enhance the surveillance network to include additional sites and applications," Hanoch Maskalchi, Radwin general manager said in a statement.
