Teen solves centuries-old math problem

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. Patent Office has awarded security and compliance software solutions developer Centrify Corp. a patent for its account authenticated technology.
U.S. company Centrify announced its user log-in name mapping access control and identity management technology has been selected for a patent.
Centrify says that the patented technology provides computer systems with instructions that can detect a user log-in and determine access management for the system adding security to the network.
According to a new release the "patented technology facilitates the capability for UNIX and Linux service accounts and root accounts to be authenticated within a centralized directory."
