PORT TOWNSEND, Wash., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Intellicheck Mobilisa says its access control technology has achieved a milestone following its fourth authority-to-operate designation from the U.S. military.

U.S company Intellicheck Mobilisa Tuesday announced its Defense ID technology has been certified with an ATO approval from the U.S. Air Force. The designation opens the access control technology up to implementation across the entire Air Force.

Intellicheck Mobilisa has also received ATO certifications for its Defense ID, a next-generation security and access control technology, from the Army, Navy and Marine Corps.

"We believe the United States Air Force-wide ATO is a testament to the value and importance of our security system," Nelson Ludlow, Intellicheck Mobilisa chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"It is especially rewarding to note that this is the fourth ATO we have received in nine months, following accreditations by the Army, Navy and Marine Corps."
