RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Cyberlux Corp. announced it has shipped 10 of its shelter systems designed to support portable lighting requirements under a U.S. Defense Department order.

North Carolina-based lighting solutions developer Cyberlux says it has successfully delivered an order of its new Portable Shelter Lighting System free-standing field shelters. The delivery included 10 of the portable Light Emitting Diode systems for an undisclosed Defense Department original equipment manufacturer.

Cyberlux says its Portable Shelter Lighting System offers next-generation lighting capabilities for command-and-control operations replacing current fluorescent lighting.

"Cyberlux has a history of supplying military-grade lighting technology to the Defense Department industry, with products designed around lighting efficiency, advanced thermal design and superior lighting performance, all delivered in an optimized product package," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
