CLEARFIELD, Utah, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. company Northrop Grumman has received the highest maturity level for its Missile Systems unit from the Software Engineering Institute.
Northrop Grumman announced it has received a level five rating from the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration, a coalition made up of government and industry authorities that assess software and systems engineering capabilities among other evaluation criteria of companies and organizations.
With the rating, Northrop Grumman says its Missile Systems unit becomes the first company with the highest Capability Maturity Model Integration appraisal level.
"This Capability Maturity Model Integration level five appraisal for acquisition highlights Missile Systems' ability to successfully acquire, integrate and deliver products and services from across the missile business industrial base," John Clay, Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector vice president of Missile Systems, said in a statement.
