
SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted URS Corp. to provide technical services and program support for a program sustaining armored vehicles.
California-based engineering firm URS announced it received a contract to support the Marines mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle program located in Virginia.
The $66.5 million contract is for URS to provide business management and equipment logistics support among other technical and management services to ensure the ongoing readiness of the Marine Corps' MRAP vehicles.
"We are proud to have been selected to continue providing support to the U.S. Marine Corps MRAP program," Randall Wotring, URS EG&G Division president, said in a statement.
"URS is committed to helping ensure timely and effective deployment of these mission critical systems and technologies which play such an important role in protecting our forces."
