
FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Homeland Security Department has contracted Electronic Consulting Services Inc. to continue to support a strengthening of analytical capabilities.
U.S. company ECS was selected to provide information technology enhancements to the Homeland Security Department's National Operations Center, Common Operational Picture.
Under the $9.6 million Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions task order, ECS will lead a team of subcontractors including Boeing and ArdentMC providing the National Operations Center with IT support to provide increased analytical capabilities.
"ECS recognizes the importance of the development and deployment of the Common Operating Picture for the Homeland Security Department's National Operation Center," Roy Kapani, ECS president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"It is an essential enhancement to the Homeland Security Department's mission and to the security of the American public. ECS is honored to have been selected by Homeland Security Department for this important program and we are completely committed to its success."
