RICHLAND, Va., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted Mohr and Associates to support an upgrade to next-generation time-domain reflectometer technologies.
U.S. company Mohr was awarded the contract from the Naval Inventory Control Point to support the General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment program. Under the $7.42 million contract, Mohr will deliver its CT100 time-domain reflectometer and CT Viewer software to the Navy.
Officials say the CT100 TDR technology was selected to replace the discontinued Tektronix-made 1502C high-resolution TDR.
"The CT100 combines exceptional TDR performance and rugged portability, making it an ideal replacement for the 1502C TDR," Charles Mohr, principal engineer at Mohr, said in a statement.
"This is a very useful tool for maintenance of modern microwave/radio frequency and digital cable systems. We are pleased by this award and look forward to helping support Navy fleet operations worldwide."
