PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Mikros Systems Corp. says its U.S. Navy Aegis System support technology has achieved a top rating during a recent naval experiment.
U.S. company Mikros announced its Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Testset system marked a milestone during the 2009 Trident Warrior experiment.
Officials say the ADEPT, designed to conduct Navy Aegis System distance support, successfully moved critical data in near-real-time from California-based authorities to a ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The successful demonstration earned the ADEPT technology the highest scores possible for the experiment.
"This is a very important achievement," Tom Meaney, Mikros president, said in a statement.
"We have been told that ADEPT was one of the best Trident Warrior experiments this year. We would expect that these stellar results will help us maintain the funding levels currently proposed for the program, and make it easier to secure the future funding needed to grow the program in support of other radar and electronic systems."
