LOUVAIN, Belgium, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Norkom has been contracted to deliver a suite of its software technologies for a European program to counter terror financing.

Belgium-based Norkom was selected by CNP Assurances to support the 3rd European anti-money-laundering directive in France. Under the deal Norkom will deliver its software suite to support the directive designed to counter terrorism financing.

Norkom says the software suite will include its anti-money laundering along with sanctions and screening technologies among other applications to support the 3rd European anti-money-laundering directive.

"We are happy to count CNP Assurances amongst our ever-increasing number of customers in the insurance sector and we are delighted that we will soon be contributing to the effectiveness of its anti-money laundering teams," Alain Tayenne, Norkom Europe general manager, said in a statement.
