RICHARDSON, Texas, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- SRA International has selected GlobeRanger to support its radio frequency identification infrastructure and sustainment contract with the U.S. Marine Corps.

U.S. company SRA is under contract with the Marine Corps Systems Command to provide Passive Radio Frequency Identification infrastructure support and sustainment services.

SRA selected GlobeRanger as its subcontract for pRFID software and sustainment support along with engineering and maintenance services among other requirements.

"GlobeRanger Corporation was selected because of their industry-leading iMotion Edgeware Platform and their strong experience in Defense Department RFID deployments," George Batsakis, SRA vice president of enterprise logistics solutions, said in a statement.

"GlobeRanger will assist SRA in creating new processes for real-time visibility and increased operational efficiencies across Marine Corps supply chain."
