CSC selected to support LCS program

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted CSC to provide management and lifecycle engineering services in support of the Littoral Combat Ship program.

U.S. company CSC announced it received a task order from the Navy as part of the company's SeaPort Enhanced indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract.

Under the $169 million IDIQ award, CSC will provide support for the Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics' Littoral Combat Ship seaframes and other systems currently under construction.

"CSC is proud to deliver value to the nation and the warfighter through responsive, effective support of this critical acquisition program," Austin Yerks, CSC North American Public Sector Defense Group president, said in a statement.

"We stand ready to support the continuing transformation of the Navy's surface combatant fleet to meet the challenges of the 21st century."
