
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted BAE Systems to provide engineering services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.
British company BAE was selected by the Navy to provide information and operating systems integration services including engineering and testing support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.
Under the $233 million deal, BAE will provide SPAWAR with engineering services for land-based facilities and several other naval platforms.
"This contract significantly expands our role supporting SPAWAR and the warfighter," Richard Anderson, BAE Systems vice president and general manager of integrated technical solutions, said in a statement.
"It also continues our long history of performance in the Charleston (S.C.) area."
