
FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Argon ST Inc. opened a new training center designed to support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations for the U.S. Navy.
U.S. company Argon ST announced the launch of its new C5ISR, or command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, Training Center in Pennsylvania.
The C4ISR Training Center was established to provide Navy personnel with troubleshooting and maintenance training on ISR platforms to ensure ongoing operational readiness.
"The C4ISR center will provide Navy ISR crews a capability to train and maintain technology and equipment against evolving threats, thus helping these platforms and intelligence systems remain viable for many years," Terry Collins, Argon ST chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"The center provides a single, integrated environment to allow Navy ISR crews to train in a classroom environment as well as in a simulated operational environment, utilizing live and simulated ISR scenarios/targets before being deployed."
